چکیده

We propose a theory of quantum (statistical) measurement which is close, in spirit, to Hepp’s theory, centered on the concepts decoherence and macroscopic (classical) observables, apply it model Stern-Gerlach experiment. The number N degrees freedom measuring apparatus such that $$N \rightarrow \infty $$ , justifying adjective “statistical”, but, addition, contrast approach, we make three-fold assumption: not instantaneous, lasts finite amount time is, up arbitrary accuracy, performed region space, agreement with additional axioms proposed by Basdevant Dalibard. It then shown how von Neumann’s “collapse postulate” may be avoided mathematically precise formulation an argument Gottfried, and, at same time, Heisenberg’s “destruction knowledge” paradox eliminated. fact no irreversibility attached process follow from author’s irreversibility, formulated terms mean entropy, due latter’s property affinity.

The Quantum Statistical Mechanical Theory of Transport Processes

A new derivation of the quantum Boltzmann transport equation for the Fermion system from the quantum time evolution equation for the wigner distribution function is presented. The method exhibits the origin of the time - irreversibility of the Boltzmann equation. In the present work, the spin dependent and indistinguishibility of particles are also considered.

A Theory Of Errors in Quantum Measurement

It is common to model the random errors in a classical measurement by the normal (Gaussian) distribution, because of the central limit theorem. In the quantum theory, the analogous hypothesis is that the matrix elements of the errors of an observable are distributed normally. We obtain the probability distribution this implies for the outcome of a measurement, exactly for the case of traceless ...

Quantum decision theory as quantum theory of measurement

We present a general theory of quantum information processing devices, that can be applied to human decision makers, to atomic multimode registers, or to molecular high-spin registers. Our quantum decision theory is a generalization of the quantum theory of measurement, endowed with an action ring, a prospect lattice and a probability operator measure. The algebra of probability operators plays...
